This ad is going against McDonalds and its crappy food it sales. We all know McDonalds is very inexpensive and that McDonalds has thousands of locations all over the world which is easy for people to consume in. Regular McDonald’s ads campaign how cheap their food is and how convenient it is to buy McDonalds because they are open late. With these ads we eventually find ourselves eating greasy food that has been shipped from all over the world and ready to eat in a matter of minutes. This ad above uses culture jamming towards McDonalds to try and change consumer habits of buying fast food. When people drive by a McDonalds and are hungry, they may remember this culture jamming ad that they had see and what the fast food they are about to eat is really going to do to their bodies. Even if they do go in and eat at McDonalds they may choose a healthier choice that is provided at the fast food location. These ads try and help us as consumers get our life’s back that have been kidnapped by the consumer world.
