Keltie Johnson – Lulu Lemon Branding

We spent a lot of time last class talking about the connotation that certain brands carry. We discussed how Lululemon has this representation of athleticism and health. Although I find this to be true, I started thinking about how they carry themselves in advertisements and commercials. Once I thought about it, I realised that they don`t really have any advertisements or commercials. Lululemon is a brand that relies solely on their consumers to enforce their image and brand. Although they carry this image of health, which I would say is represented in their stores, this is an image that is re-enforced by the public alone. I found it interesting that a company that is so succesful, so well-known and has such a strong image has not tricked consumers by showing them fancy advertisements or putting the idea of health and well-being into the public`s minds.
